2013 + Focus ST Brake Cooling Deflector

  • Image 1
  • To heat up brakes, car was driven on a closed course and the brakes were aggressively applied to quickly slow the car from 40 mph to 20 mph, the repeated until the target temperature of approx 500F degrees was reached.

For cooling, the car was driven on a close course for 1.5 miles at 40 mph. First to obtain a cool down temperature as a result of natural heat dissipation, and then repeated with the brake deflectors installed to channel fresh air onto the hub assembly.

Installation Guide

Sick and tired of experiencing brake fade and a mushy pedal? Boomba Racing has the solution for you! The Boomba Racing brake cooling deflector kit for the Focus ST helps to channel air towards your caliper and rotor when driving. The cooling deflector mounts securely to the A-arm using a hole that is already there for a completely reversible installation. Ground clearance is not compromised and there is no need to remove your fog lights or drill any holes. This kit can be installed easily in your driveway using a jack and jackstands.

If you look at the data above you can see that we had noticeable drops in temperatures after the installation of these deflectors.

Removal of the rotor dust shield is highly recommended in aiding air flow to the brakes.

The deflectors and mounting brackets are made from aircraft grade billet aluminum and feature all stainless hardware. These pieces are available in your choice of four different colors: natural finish, blue, red, or black anodized.

As always, this product is proudly made right here in the USA in our Wood Dale, Illinois facility.

Improve the stopping power of your Focus ST today!

As you can clearly see in the video, with the deflectors installed the air is channeled into the wheel where it can work to cool your braking system. This was proven with constant temperature drops throughout testing.

  1. Great alternative to ripping out fog lights 5 Star Review

I highly recommend this product as a means for those who move on high speed tracks. Before the install, my brakes got so hot the dust melted to the wheel. Not after the boomba deflectors. I was skeptical at first but that was put to rest.
